<p><strong>Maintenance Technician – Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment</strong></p><p>We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team across Perth Metro, FIFO and DIDO operations. Rosters available include 7/7, 8/6 and 2/1 across the Pilbara, South West and Goldfields regions, with immediate starts available.</p><p>In this role, you will perform testing, diagnostics, repairs, scheduled servicing and breakdown maintenance on a range of heavy mobile and fixed plant mining equipment including CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, Atlas Copco, Epiroc and Sandvik fleets. Equipment includes haul trucks, dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, drills, road trucks and water carts.</p><p>Experience with component rebuilds, shutdown maintenance, engine and transmission overhauls, suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic troubleshooting will be highly regarded. We recognise and value the leadership, discipline, problem-solving abilities and strong safety culture developed through military service.</strong></p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p><strong>Scheduled &amp; Breakdown Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li>Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.</li><li>Carry out breakdown repairs and fault rectification to minimise equipment downtime.</li><li>Maintain detailed service records and maintenance documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Diagnostics &amp; Troubleshooting</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.</li><li>Utilise OEM diagnostic software and tools including CAT SIS and ET.</li><li>Conduct fault finding on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and hydraulic systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Component Rebuilds</strong></p><ul><li>Complete rebuilds and repairs of engines, transmissions and hydraulic components.</li><li>Inspect, repair and reassemble components in accordance with OEM standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Shutdown Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li>Participate in shutdowns, inspections and major equipment overhauls.</li><li>Coordinate maintenance activities to meet shutdown schedules and client requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Hydraulic &amp; Electro-Hydraulic Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Repair and maintain pumps, motors, cylinders, valves and associated systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair electro-hydraulic and control systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Follow all site safety procedures and company policies.</li><li>Participate in safety meetings and identify potential hazards.</li><li>Maintain compliance with mining industry standards and regulations.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications &amp; Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician within the mining industry.</li><li>Experience maintaining haul trucks, loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, drills and ancillary equipment.</li><li>Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Experience with shutdown maintenance and component rebuilds.</li><li>Experience using OEM diagnostic systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Relevant Heavy Duty Mechanical or similar trade qualification.</li></ul><h3>Schedule</h3><ul><li>12-hour shifts</li><li>Day and Night Shift rotations</li><li>FIFO, DIDO and Perth Metro opportunities</li></ul><h3>Work Location</h3><p>In-person</p><h3>Work Authorisation</h3><p><strong>Applicants must have full Australian working rights and be currently authorised to work in Australia.</strong></p><p style="margin-left:!important;">&nbsp;</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;">&nbsp;</h2>

Based out of Prestons and predominantly site-based, you will be the principal on-site representative of the business, leading delivery safely, on time, on budget and to O'Brien quality standards.</p><ul><li>Lead and control all site activities including construction, installation, testing, commissioning and defect rectification for boiler and steam systems</li><li>Provide direct supervision and coordination of in-field technicians, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution</li><li>Own project delivery in full and on time, measured through DIFOT, maintaining site-level control of program, sequencing and resourcing</li><li>Enforce site safety leadership through daily oversight of WHS requirements, SWMS, permits to work, toolbox talks and hazard management</li><li>Control site-driven costs, identify and manage variations, and prepare weekly cost status updates including forecast cost to complete, approved and at-risk variations and margin impacts</li><li>Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Project Support, and manage client, consultant and regulatory interfaces to achieve compliant commissioning and handover</li><li>Ensure all works comply with the relevant Australian Standards for boilers, pressure equipment and steam systems</li></ul><br><h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>Qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)</li><li>Demonstrated experience in project delivery and/or site supervision on construction or infrastructure projects</li><li>Construction White Card</li><li>Sound understanding of steam production and generation, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical and piping works</li><li>Knowledge of WHS legislation, quality standards and environmental requirements</li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts</li><li>Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Sound commercial awareness including cost control and variation management</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dynamics 365 and AutoCAD</li><li>Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within NSW and interstate</li></ul>
